Hillside Community Primary School has many outstanding features, not least the children’s behaviour and their appearance.
We are all proud to be associated with Hillside and we know how much the children value being part of such a great school!
They all take a pride in wearing our striking red uniform with its unique school motto: ‘Together we can shine.’
Whilst we want to ensure that Hillside has a uniform to be proud of, we are aware that in the present economic climate, finances are often stretched. For this reason, many of our items can be purchased from local shops and supermarkets such as ASDA . Or join us for one of our pre-loved uniform sales - future dates will be advertised on our newsletter.
All clothing and equipment should be marked with your child’s name so we can identify anything that goes missing.
Required Uniform
- White shirt or blouse (Year 5 & Year 6); white polo shirt (Year 3, Year 4 and Infants)
- Black trousers
- Tartan pinafore or tartan skirt skirt - only available from our supplier: Premier Sports and School Wear Ltd
- Red Jumper or cardigan with school logo - in stock items are available from the School Office or Premier Sports and School Wear Ltd
- Tie (Year 5 & Year 6) - available from the School Office
- Black shoes or unbranded trainers (no logos)
Summer Uniform (optional)
- Red gingham dress/playsuit
- Black school shorts
- White shirt/blouse (Year 5 & Year 6); white polo shirt (Year 3, Year 4 and Infants)
School Uniform Supplier
We have a range of school uniform items available to purchase directly from school. Please contact the School Office to check stock levels.
We are delighted to have partnered with Premier Sports and School Wear Ltd in Ormskirk as our recommended suppliers of our school uniform.
Purchases can be made online or in person at their stores, where they hold a range of in-stock items.
Home delivery is available or collect from store for free.
Unbranded uniform can be purchased from any local high street shop or supermarket.

Office staff will be happy to provide advice and support with sizing etc. We hold a variety of sizes however some items may not always be in stock.

When your child starts with us at Hillside (Reception to Year 6), they will be provided with a PE kit free of charge (red polo shirt, black shorts, black joggers, named red pump bag).
We will continue to supply kits as and when they are outgrown.
Swimming
Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils have swimming lessons at Nye Bevan Pool. They will need a towel, swimming costume (one piece for girls) or swimming trunks and a swimming cap.
Swimming caps can be purchased from the School Office for £1.20.
